Making pearls
Follow the steps for "Making balls for borders" using white or ivory coloured paste and a small cutter. When making the pearls you can give them a slightly coloured shine, by adding a small amount of coloured powder to the pearl powder to
complement your design.
You will need
1.Small balls 2.Container 3.Large dusting brush 4.Edible Pearl dusting powder
5.Edible coloured dusting powders (optional)
Put ¼tsp of pearl powder into the container
Add a pinch of the coloured powder (if needed)
Using the large dusting brush. Mix the colours together, and ensure the powder is covering the base of the whole container.
Place the balls into the container and use the brush to roll the balls around and cover them completely in powder. Only dust a handful of balls at a time, as they need room to move around the container.
